I was sending this to Kianoosh anyway, and thought I might as well share.
Previously, I was using dropbox and had to upload it in parts, but now I'm using sync.com which allows me to upload the entire thing with no download limits! yaye!

For those who don't know, Sonniss.com is a hosting platform and reseller for smaller sound designers, and every year since 2015 they've been making a sizeable pack of sounds with selections submitted by various artists available free to the public.
The problem is that their is no easy way to get the one for 2015, their is no download page for it like their is for the others, so that's why I'm having to share it in this way.

Anyway, here's the link. enjoy...

And if your interested in checking out the service I'm using to host it, which is extremely accessible, than you can read my topic about it here, where I lay out the pros and cons and give my referral link, which will get you an extra gig of space for free if you use it to sign up with.

Hey, thanks a lot for this. I’ve been looking for as I have 16 and 17. I’ll be making sure to grab the other two parts as well. Again, thanks a lot!

Well, thankfully he needs to download at night do to data restrictions, so that should fix it's self. try again later I guess, and I hope at least one person got it that has the ability to rehost.

Hi there, I did successfully download part one. But I don’t know exactly how I might be able to host it myself. My dropbox folder is pretty full. If I can find another way or anyone else can suggest another way. I will be glad to host it for you guys.

I think you should try sendspace or google drive.

You should try yandex disk or one drive.

I post sounds I record to freesound. Click here to visit my freesound page

And their in lies the problem.
So many choices, all constantly changing their interfaces.
From one month to the next, the UI may become significantly more difficult to use with a screen reader, for either the host or the downloader, and their is very little you can do about it, as the pace of change moves too fast for add-ons or scripts to reasonably keep up.
Plus, many of them don't even provide the ability for giving out shared links unless the other person also has the necessary browser extension or desktop application, or they make the downloader jump through multiple hoops in order to actually get the damned file.

DB's web interface is bad enough, but at least you can do pretty much everything via windows explorer, and that still hasn't changed.
If anyone knows of another free service that lets you do file manipulation and link generation locally, either via explorer or a reasonably accessible application that hasn't become less so for at least a year, and doesn't cause significant frustration to the average screen reader using downloader, than I would be very interested! because DB's storage and traffic limits are getting really fucking old.

Well. Theres sync, which I'm using. And the best part. You get 6GB for free.

I think google drive gives 15 GB and I have tried it's good.

does this sound pack contain the sound effect used by sam tupy for the jet airplane used in the old redspot game?

What an oddly specific question...
What makes you think that it would, exactly?

2018-03-19 00:35:16

google drive or mail.ru cloud will give 100 gb free storage

Hi all, Here's the link for part 1 of the topic's subject file. It's available for 30 days from now. Please let me know if the download from HubIC is or is not successful.
http://ovh.to/uLCdRkU
Hope it works for you all. Defender, if you want, after you or someone else confirms the success of the download from HubIC, you can remove it from your DB folder and upload part 2 so I can grab it and host it in the same way as part 1.

2018-03-19 13:25:18

Awesome! I'll do that, and thank you.

2018-03-19 13:29:19 (edited by defender 2018-03-19 13:50:29)

Google drive only gives you 15GB actually, and you can't even sync individual files locally if you have a personal non work or school account, unless your using chrome with an extension, as far as I can tell, though apparently their are apps for other browsers. Mail RU Cloud has to be translated, imperfectly I'm sure as well, much easier with chrome though... but still, that will just make any interface problems worse.
For now I'm going to go with mediafire on Kianoosh's suggestion, even if the web only interface isn't ideal... and I'm going to check out "sync" later.

Thanks to NiklasMCHD from post 11, I now have the ability to host the entire archive at once for free and with no download limits! Sorry to screw over those who already downloaded the first part, but this is much easier for most people anyway.
If your curious about the service I'm using to do it with, than you can check it out right here.
I lay out the pros and cons as compared to other cloud services, and give my referral link which will allow you to get an extra gig of space for free if you choose to sign up.

Here is the link to the entire Sonniss 2015 audio bundle, which will stay up until I need the space for something else, but I'll keep it their for at least a week either way.

Please enjoy... and share if you can. :-)

I tried going to this link to get the full download. It tells me that it’s loading, then it gives me a time out error. It has happened twice so far.

2018-03-22 05:11:47

That's, odd. It doesn't do that for me...
I'm using Firefox 59.

2018-03-22 08:56:08

I was able to get it. I’m extracting it now. Thanks a lot! Now I have all three years!

2018-03-22 09:11:11

Awesome!
