Sorry for posting in the wrong room if this proves to be the wrong room. Anyway, I have been playing A Hero's Call a bunch this month and find myself in desire of a good sapi voice. So how much does a good sapi voice go for, and where are good places to look. The less DRM I have to put up with the voice, the better. I am basically looking for a good sapi voice for 64 bit windows seven that is reasonably priced that is easy to deal with in the DRM department. No DRM is preferred. I really do not know how easily found that would be seeing that windows ten is the latest windows OS now. As a interesting side note, what other uses have people found for SAPI then games?

Hi,
I would recommend ivona, they were are one of the best voices in terms of quality and most human sounding I have ever come across.

Their drm is minimal,and not as bad as codefactorys. The only issue is Ivona has ended support for them,so if they break on any OS in the future,thats that for them.
But they work just fine on win10 and below.

personally, I tried evona and the stuff it installs just to let you use the voices is kind of klunky and I've had to fix people's computers when it's gone bad and removing that stuff is a nightmare. cereproc make some really good ones. they're about £25 each I think but there was a sale on recently. not sure if that's over now though.
I use cereproc jess but they got lots of them in different accents and things.

I recommend voices from neospeech, like Julie, they are verry good.

I went over to the neospeech and I did not see anywhere to buy said voices. I could be missing something though. Anyway, all I saw, for the most part, was something about getting a free trial and a bunch of audio demos. What am I missing there? Just wondering. I will have to do some digging at the vary least. So far, thanks for the suggestions. It would help to have a link to where I can get these different voices and the like, but google is helpful. Anyway, thanks so far.

NeoSpeech stopped selling to end-users years ago, like a ton of companies. Ivona was Acquired by Amazon, Innoetics by Samsung, etc.

I would try looking into the speech synthesisers sold by Harpo. They have both Ivona and Vocalizer expressive voices for about $30 each and the DRM doesn't really get in your way all that much.
