hello,
I am at the end of eppisode 1: I have taken the Eva's quest to defeat a valkyrie. I finished her off, but the quest remains in my log. Should I do something? The entry only says that I defeated it.

As I remember all you need to do is defeat her to finish the side quest, but if your in doubt check the side quest log in the story section under help, that tells you exactly what you need to do.
Note though that you won't get a trophy unless your in nightmare or daisy pusher difficulty.

I defeated her too. In my Journal, there was written "Quest completed". All sidequests stay in your Journal but with "Quest completed" written next to the heading.

We are pleased, that you made it through the final challenge, where we pretended we were going to murder you. We are throwing a party in honor of your tremendous success. Place the device on the ground, then lay on your stomach with your arms at your sides. A party associate will arrive shortly to collect you for your party. Assume the party submission position or you will miss the party.

You sort of do have to check the side quests bit just to know when to do each of them.

I will say it doesn't have spoilers, or at least it tells you when such and such happens but not the actual details, eg, you need to talk to x character after you've unlocked x area, so don't worry about spoilers, the story in the game is very nicely written, albeit the furthest I've got thus far is episode 3.

Unfortunately the game got revamped when I was mid way through episode 3 so I never got to continue, though I was relying too much on my lesps anyway, I do need to take things more in hand I think and look things over, especially now it is possible to complete the hole story.
