FreeBitco.in is a Bitcoin faucet; it dispenses Bitcoins every hour, for free. At the moment it's 0.00000049 BTC per roll. The link is here. Disclosure: yes I receive a small commission on any future games played when you sign up with my link.

The site works by displaying ads, but you can block those and in fact leave the page, and come back in an hour. There are also gambling games which I will not risk anything substantial on. If you invest a bit, you can avoid the CAPTCHAs. It's kinda fun and it's free, so ... why not? And who knows if the value of your earnings ever goes up to something substantial on the currency markets in future, maybe it'll come to something. So far I've earned about £0.07 from this over the last few days (42 rolls), and it's quick and easy. Think of it as a way to get Bitcoin transaction fees for free. It is not going to make you rich in any way--at least, not at the moment. If you want to "get rich quick" then simply buy and hold BitCoin, but be aware that the value of a single BTC is already multiple thousands of pounds/dollars. This is zero risk in contrast. Give it a shot if you have the time for a fun hobby.

Just myself, as usual.

@grryf Thanks. And have fun. It's totally "why not?" territory. If you have a browser tab open, you can play for a few Satoshis. IMO don't play the high-low game, unless you are really bored and/or don't mind serially losing. But collecting a few pennies now and then is easy.

I can't seem to get webvisum running on FireFox 55.0.2

I go into preferences to login and hit enter and it doesn't do anything

PS

This crap I have to enter after submitting a comment/post is annoying.

I had to do it like 100 times

Pics or it didn’t happen

Webvisum really ought to be considered dead. You'll have to pay for CAPTCHAs if you need them from somewhere like CAPTCHA Be Gone or I use Rumola. Sorry to hear you're having trouble.

Hi,
use a portable SRC release of ff to get it working with webvisum, recent changes in Firefox makes it so that you can only use webvism in firefox versions 52 and lower only.

At sebby, aye, that's what I plan on doing, roll away, earn what I earn and take it as a tp, obviously not a serious cash earner, but good enough for a few bits and pieces here and there.

What the hell is bitcoin mining, though? I mean, one bitcoin is around $4000, and one would assume those $4000 actually come from somewhere, but the term mining makes it sound like they are harvested from some where or in a particular way....

Hi.
So, I read a lot about bitcoins, bitcoin mining etc. and find it really interesting. I'm looking into a bitcoin mining cloud service to get started making bitcoins. I'm not sure if it'll keep my interest, but currently, I find it really cool. So basically you are earning money on computer power, which is calculating security. This is damn cool...

@grryf "mining" is the process of searching for BitCoins. It relies on performing an increasingly difficult mathematical problem, specifically a partial SHA256 collision. The currency gets harder and harder to mine as more coins are produced, and fewer and fewer coins go into circulation until finally a finite number of coins are made. It really is quite fascinating. Today's equivalent of the gold standard.

@SLJ I recommend you stay away from cloud mining operations. If you want BitCoin, buy it from a reputable exchange, or use LocalBitcoins.com to exchange locally. There is limited evidence that cloud mining operations are value for money, and people have been stung by contract terms they weren't aware of when they signed up. See here for details.

Yes, I know lots of cloud mining companies are fake, but I have found two companies who should be fair. I have contacted one of them and requested some serious accessibility issues when purchasing Hashpower, which currently is not accessible with screenreaders.

Thank you. I'll let you know if I find something which is worth trying. I'm still waiting for any reply regarding to the accessibility issues. I got confirmed by sighted assistance how inaccessible the purchase page is, which gave me a much better understanding on how it works and what needs to be done to make it accessible.

Best regards SLJ.
