So was on cosmic rage the other day, and someone was saying that there was a blind person that played xenoverse 2 to completion. I am very skeptical of this, as there is an absolutely massive overworld and a ton of menues and skills to learn. Has anyone tried this? Thoughts?

Take care, it's a desert out there.

i think he was just pushing  buttons and that's how he completed the game. because in gameplays i saw in youtube, it wasn't

I don't think so. this is an open-world game like the previous dragon ball xenoverse.
also, I think this guy plays it with a sighted person, that's why this guy can complete everything. and also note, this game has a very massive RPG in it, so of course for us the game is not playable.
the only way for us is just wait for dragon ball fighterZ to come out, which is a 2D fighter unlike this one.

going in to the wilds, collecting pokedex, and capturing them are my kind of thing,
training them, making them evolve, and generally making them stronger is my ultimate goal,
fighting other manamon tamers, winning the tournament, and fighting octoros are what these manamons like to do,
and ultimately, I become the master of mana!

I would love to see how someone plays this with no vision.  I have this game on my PC and even with low vision I was never able to play this.  I think the fighting might be possible if it plays similar to the old Tenkaichi games, but to get to the fights you have to navigate through the overworld which is essentially a city.

And note that I know this much because I could see enough to still actually read the menus and get through the character creation preceding the actual exploration.  I figured that this game would have a decent mini-map which I could use to navigate with.  The first Xenoverse game had that much at least.  The map did not have enough contrast for me to play.

So trust me when I say that no blind player will be playing this game independently.  If the person you spoke to had a trick to navigate the overworld I would love to hear it.  But even if you get that out of the way, you will still need to deal with quests being provided in text only and a lot of menus that need navigating.  You have to add stats and abilities yourself.  It also has an equipment system.  If you consider simple to navigate games (games that require no jumping etc.) like Final Fantasy 12 accessible I would say you can probably play this, otherwise, stay away.

I'd much rather wait for dragonball fighter z.

Yep Im waiting for the dragon ball fighter z. The accessible part on xenoverse is only the fight

Sorry for my english

I beat the game with the help of a sighted person; without such help, the game is unplayable. But i managed to find a way to play at least vs com. If you beat the game on ps4 or xb1 or pc, well on pc you could just download a save file, and you're in the main menu, you must have the flying carpet to use my solution, you got the carpet if you preordered the game, if not, you could try doing it without it, I havn't tried. So press sqare or the corresponding button to get on your carpet and tilt the right analog stick and hold it for about 10.5 seconds, then let go. Afterwards tilt it forward for about 5 seconds and let go again. Now press sqare or the corresponding button to get off of your carpet and tilt the stick right for 1 second, then forward for 1 second, right for 1 second and again forward for 1 second; while pressing circle or the corresponding button to talk to the robot. keep moving like that until you find the robot and he says: greetings. from here you have: vs com, local multiplayer and training. It's hard to explain but I tried my best, I can play the game without sighted assistance. As for the fighting mechanics, it's a 3d environment, if you played the tenkaichi or raging blast series, you won't have much problems playing this one; you must first lock on to your opponent but just go to training mode; you'll be better off learning the basics rather than me explaining them.

here's a save file that will have you start the first heaven and earth war with over 500k coins to level up your stats and buy casino things, just rename the file to save1.dat and drop it in your game folder

I did play xenoverse both one and two, they're pretty much playable in battles but when it comes to the hub world I needed a sighted person to asist.
@amaterasusano
are you sure that'd work? Cause there are different carpets apparently with different speeds, not sure if that matters.

Greetings.

Yes it does. I use this method to play the game although I don't play it that much anymore until the next dlc comes out. I'll be playing fighters which comes out next week. As for the different carpets, I use the one I got from preordering, and I don't use speed boost. This is my method of accessing the offline play, if it doesn't work for somebody else, well too bad. But if you follow my instructions step by step, you should be able to get to the robot without sighted assistance.

Well good thing there is a quick menu in dragon ball fighters, but xenoverse 2 is still enjoyable, especially since giren will be playable soon.
