Hello all, I'm having a problem with l-works games. whenever I try to run them I get a 429 error. it says active exe  component can't create object. I've alread got direct exe installed. can someone help me fix this problem? thanks.

try to install winkit created by jim kitchen.
It shoult fix missing diretx components for visual basic.
I have windows 10 and I dont have any troubles with l-works games

funny, I didn't have any trouble with judgement day, but yeah, you need the runtimes for the VB6 stuff. I usually get them from Aprone's games, that's one way to do it, if you download any of Aprone's games, they come with a file called checkup.exe. Run that, and hit register missing files, and it does all the jiggery pokery and all the sudden, VB6 programs run fine.
