alright, i know how to record things from the soundcard. you just use the

stereo mix. but the problem is, i can't have the microphone and the stereo

mix selected at once. someone told me how, but he was using windows 98 and

it didn't appear on my windows xp.

Hi,
How do you use stereo mix anyway? Well someone who reviews games

should know.

Hi argin,

I know how. In volume controll, unmute the microphone.

Then select the stereo mix check box. That will enable the ability for the

sound card to catch and your voice and your speakers

sound.

Hi mike,

In volume controll, uncheck the checkbox that says mute

microphone. Then do the following. Go to options menu, and click properties.

Then select the adjust volume for recording radio button and press tab, and

make sure the stereo mix box is checked. Then hit okay. Then press tab until

after you hear "stereo mix volume". Then press tab and select that

checkbox...

that is the problem i have, i don't have any unmute microphone checkbox.

not in play and not in record mode. i only have main volume, wave,

cd-player, doc cd, line in, telephone line, and pc speaker.

Yeah,

in volume control I have Master Volume, Wave, SWSynth, Line-in, and

something else but not microphone. When I go to options/properties and check

the stereo mix then I record something, it doesn't work. I only hear it

from the microphone.

Okay,

I'll go step by step.

Go to volume controll. Then go to

options. Press tab to get the some kinda lost box and make sure the

microphone item is checked.
Then go back to the main window of the program.

Press tab till you get to micriphone balance and all that stuff, then press

tab two times. There should be a check box that says mute. Uncheck

that.

okay, now you're all good. Now go into properties again. Now, go

to the adjust volume for recording. Now press tab, and check the stereo mix.

Then press enter.

Now, you shoul.d be in the recording controll. Press

tab to stereo mix volume, then adjust the volume to whatever you want. Then

pres tab and select the check blx that says select. That will select the

stereo device. Then again, check that box.

That should do

it.

Clement

Line-in can also be interpreted as microphone since mics hook up to the

line-in jack.
