hi
at tomecki dude, you don't need to have your ship destoroyed. once you create a character you sell and rebuy the ship. and that's a good thing cause you don't lose money and you will be ok with your ship too.

these are very large and speed only 50?
any advice on how to get past the electric trap when i play story mode?
I'll admit, space combat is stupidly fun given the safe zone has been reduced, and it makes for some hilarious moments when you catch people unawares.
If I annoyed anyone by blowing up their ships when they were offline....then....here's a tip: Don't leave your ships offline outside of the safe zone. Also, if you do get into space combat, don't just sit there and do nothing. Instead move around, and shoot backiA certain player was talking a lot of trash in the chat to me, he turned up and...well....just sat there nd didn't fire back, whereas I got within range and just blasted away.
Actually, the fighters are eally easy to master, the trick is getting good at it so you won't be outsmarted by an opponent. It's actually insanely fun to chase down an opponent and shoot them when they've stopped, or pick a fight with an opponent then run and hide so they lose track of you, then sneak back around and destroy them.
Just saying, fighters are more fun than I thought they would be, I figured they'd be a handful but with the new system, they are a load of fun, and just a heads up, if anyone runs across me in space, and you're in a fighter, run away, I shoot firsst and ask who it was later. Danny said combat's for everyone to go nuts with so I've taken it to heart.
@Farhad: I'm sorry but lol, somebody probably shot your ship and you weren't online, but I just have to laugh at that because I've died in dumb ways in games so I know how it feels...
@DracoSelene89
its ok.
@prjwal:
go quickly from dark matters reach the cargo lift and you will safe.
hi, I have a serious issue, it is kind of off the topic of this thread but it is related to this game so I'll post it anyways.
I am having an issue executing pyinstaller built scripts, such as this game. I've verified that it's pyinstaller because another application built with the same compiler also throws the same error, fatal error! Failed to execute script *. Do note that * is just a wildcard in this case, the error itself doesn't actually say *.
I am running windows 10 home, x64, version 1703 build 15063. If there's any way to fix this error I would gladly appreciate the help!
Hi.
I failed on a mission and died. My character got removed because I died, which I think is quite extreme. I'm not asking to change how it works when you die, but I'm just saying I won't touch missions again when you loose all your credits and stuff when you die.
For those of you needing a hand with fighter combat, I put a guide up in the articles room with helpful tricks and tips.
Also, SLJ, I disagree it's too extreme, most online games punish you heavily for dying, if you want extreme, EVE Online has it so oyu can easily losea a lot more than credits (which you can easily make)
Greetings all. You should now find that when you order a weapon it should be placed in your weapons list, rather then requiring you to log out and back in.
Hi.
@DracoSelene89 and others: I'll tell you exactly what happened, why I died and why I don't find it fair:
I accepted a mission, not the ship fighting mission, but the ground combat mission. Then, I wasn't sure on where to go, so I planned just to leave the place and fly to Earth again. I entered my ship, and got strait into the mission. I got warned by the story text, where the only option was to press enter to continue. At this time, I didn't know you had to log out and in again to see your ground combat weapon. As soon as I pressed enter, an enemy started to attack me, I got some errors which froze the game so I couldn't move, and I died in 3 seconds.
Well, as I have to start from scratch anyway, I feel like giving it a try again. It was just not that fun to loose 100000 credits, and access to my ships.
Thanks for the guide in the articles room. Sounds a bit complicated, but something which is possible to learn. Sounds very fun...
@slj I fixt that glitch so you no longer have to log out and back in to fight the strawl. Also, the game isn't freezing if an enemy grabs you, its like the original only you have to use e to throw it off. Thanks for reporting that bug though about the mission still continuing if you were on your ship and not the valhalla. Just so you know, you don't lose access to your ships when you die, they stay right their. Its only your credits and inventory you lose.
and even that can be fixedd by selling your ship, and buying a constelation cruiser and doing some cargo missions which aren't so hard.
i woke up this morning in my hellcat fighter, and got an error. well hello server. it's just like the shuttle one
waiting till server up.
Hi, the server might be down for a bit while I fix up some more on the loading and saving of objects. I'm hopeful that this won't take too long, i'll notify you all of my progress. I'm also still working on the offline story, i've added a new prolog section to the beginning.
danny???
whao whao whao for offline story mode and also online mode,
really i am remembering sounds of pluto.
in last happy eid mubarak my all friends of audiogames! specially for my lovely game DMPA owner danny!
Greetings all. Server should be back up soon, however, i've had to role back everyone to yesterday. This though has the advantage of restoring those who lost ships and those who died today. Before it comes back up though, i'm going to do some modifying of my save code. 1 so that things should take less time to save and thus reduce lag, and 2 for objects, splitting it up into multiple files. That way, the server should also take less time to load, and we can store more in the games database.
Greetings all. Server is back up and operational, and while it was down I took the time to do some more work on the valhalla salvage mission. For those who get murdered, a good idea is to while not run around and completely run through your ammo, don't stand still as soon as the enemies are in range. Straifing is a good idea. If you kill the first enemy upon opening the door, remember their's a second one which will spawn behind you.
hi all,
so I would like to ask some questions.
firstly how big is this game now? in terms of area size star systems places to go and activities ships equipment etc? what activities can you do in this game now? is it like your average space mud or is it different if so how?
thanks in advance for ansering.
For those who get murdered, i.e. everybody you mean...:)
@Darren: There's a lot of space to explore, there's combat in in fighters, and cargo runs, plus you get to hang out and RP with others on a ship and there's new stuff being worked on all the time, there's missions, and such to do and the story's being worked on one day at a time
In short, give it a go, if you don't like it, no great loss.F
@Orrin: toggle the autopilot on and off again, and don't leav your ship around the debris field, field, shps left there have a nasty habit of exploding...
@Darren: What system are you running?
Also, Orrin, I'd suggest etting good with a fighter at some point too honestly
