Wow, you are seriously on a roll here. Can not wait!
Ok everyone, I have created the effect monster cards. Although I have not yet decided the best way to program in the different effects. I will next work on fusion type monsters.
sounds good nina. did you still need those sound effects? if soo just let me know which ones
Nice! I think that you might be able to use fusion code to do synchro monsters if you decide to bring in the gx and 5ds cards. As that's pretty much what those monsters are, fusion pieces. Awesome!
I want to finish creating all the necessary cards before I decide what sounds I will need. I also need to work on the games code for dueling before I worry about what sounds will be necessary.
Hay Nina, is this just going to be a duel sim, or is this going to be a complete port of eternal duelist sole?
If it's a port, please be aware that a few bugs exist in the game with regard to how cards are plaied.
You can find the list of bugs on the yu-gi-oh fan wiki.
With regard to music, I could help you get the music converted if need be.
Would you need the intros split out from the main files like in candy crashers?
I hope that some one can help you work on network code so we can play with each other instead of just against the computer.
Threeblacknoises, I am awhere of a lot of bugs in the game, and I hope to avoid most, if not all of those bugs. As to the music, I'm just not sure yet. blindndangerous, I hope to learn how to add online capability to this game, but I am going to first work on making the offline game work first.
Alright everyone. I have finished creating all the monster cards. Next I will be working on the "magic" cards. However I will be refering to these as "spell" cards, to maintain consistency with later generations. This way I can leave the door open if I decide to expand this game.
That was going to be a question I was going to ask, but wanted to wait until you had done the monsters first. That's what I figured you'd do. Wow, this is coming along fast. I really want to know, how hard is it to code all of this? I know the rules of the game, but how hard is it to translate what we used with our heads and a calculator when I played in high school to make that into code?
so far I have just been coding the cards with no functions attached. The hard part is going to be when I have to code all the different effects that each card can have.
yes nina, this is coming along pretty nicely, keep up the good work
Again, I'll say that if you charge for this, I'll gladly pay for it, especially if you add in the other generations. Thanks so much.
Ok everyone. on Friday I finished creating all of the spell cards. Next I will create the trap cards. I have not written any of the code for these cards yet, but I will be working on that after I create the trap cards. I'll let you know when the trap cards are created, though I will be out of touch for a while I write the code to make every thing work properly. Talk to you all later.
Awesome to hear!
keep em coming nina
Ok everyone, I have finished creating the card library. Now that was the easy part. I will now focus on the code for each effect monster, fusion monster, ritual monster, spell, and trap card. This will take a while, so I will talk to you all in a week or so.
Keep it rad I'd be down to try this
cody, in the mean time while the yugioh port is being finished, you can currently play an assessable yugioh card game mud that a few of us are currently playing. you can find it on the new releases page. and nina you are almost to the finishing line, keep it pushing
Wow, she's flying through this entire thing. Somehow I thought it'd be way harder. Then again, she's also basing this off of a pretty old title in the line, I wonder how the newer titles would stack up to how they're coded versus what she's doing now?
Hay everyone, I'm not finished coding the effect monsters, but I wanted you to know I am still working on it, and I will be finished with the flip effects this week.
Yay! Keep up the awesome work! And as always, do not exitate to ask if you need something.
Best regards, Haramir.
almost to that finish line nina, keep pushing
Absolutely, if you need some help, just ask.
Ok everyone. I have just finished the first step in coding the effect monsters flip effects. I'm going to take a break for a cupple of days, and then work on the spell cards effects. This is turning out to be a little more difficult than I thaught it would be. I'm not stopping though! I'll keep you up to date. Thanks everyone.
