I am now the moderator of /r/descriptionplease on Reddit. It's a sub that allows you to upload a picture, and then someone with sight will describe it for you. All you have to do is create an account and you're good to go. The link to the subreddit can be found here.
This is a really cool project. Is there any stance on nsfw content (I support there being nsfw content, it shouldn't be hidden. No I have none planned to link to in particular.) I mention this because you should tell people to tag it nsfw if it is.
That's what I was thinking of as well. I Once the sub gets a bit for subscribers, I may post a poll and let people decide.

How do you guys and girls get past them?
I've had a reddit account for five months but haven't used it due to Captchas.
I could use web vism I guess but That only allows you to post about 10 posts a day, if I remember correctly.
Could someone help?

You have to use WEbvism for the first few posts. After that, the captcha is no longer required.

How did you manage to install Webvism?
I can click on the instal link, press alt+A then I tab and get a find out more link and a cancil button.
Is there a way around this?
I know that Web vism isn't a signed adddon. I contacted the team about this. I am hoping they get back to me soon.
You have to go into addons manager and allow unsigned addons. It's a new Firefox feature.
I can't find the allow unsign addons in the addon manager. I'm using firefox v48.0.2
My bad, I told you what to do, but didn't even check it myself to make sure that it worked. Scratch that, here's what you have to do.
1. Open a new tab and enter the following text in the address bar:
about:config
Confirm that you will be careful if a warning message appears for you.
2. Enter the following text in the filter box:
xpinstall.signatures.required
3. To disable the feature, set this option to false.
addons signature
After that, all your disabled non-signed extensions will start working in Firefox 43.

i'm now using captcha be gone. It's a great service. It is a payed service at $3.00 a month, but if you have the money and have captures you need solving, it's worth it.

I have a question about Reddit: why is it that when I read some posts they appear as if the letters are all squoshed together?
It's very hard to read these posts and sometimes it is impossible.

I have another question: why does maximizing the window work? I thought maximising the window just made it bigger for peple who can see?
The way reddit threads are formatted is such that replies are indented, so sighted people can tell which reply goes to which comment. In very deep threads, this can push them far enough that there isn't much space on the line, so the spaces disappear to shove more letters into a line. And yes, for a screen reader this is obnoxious.
