High guys,
I found this soundfont that uses samples from various nintendo64 games. Download it at
https://www.dropbox.com/s/76ex8d4k8g40b … t.rar?dl=0
I'd like it also if people could post samples of this soundfont in action, like with the zane soundfont I linked to last week. This one appears to be complete.

This soundfont seems to definitely be complete. Here are two recordings. First, Dance of the Sugarplum Ferry. http://sndup.net/52mg/d.
And next, because I felt extreme and found it interesting to see what it would be like when soundfonts start firing machine guns...

Do you have a midi I can use? I'm looking through my midi files and I can't find a midi of The Wind Waker.

Have you tried www.vgmusic.com? Most of the soundtrack in midi format is there.

Hi all,

could someone explain to me how this sound font is used? I downloaded it but have no idea how to use.

Thank you.

You need something like Coolsoft Virtual Midi Synth or Foobar2000 to load the soundfont in to. Then, any midi file will use it.

OK, now I got the coolsoft virtual midi synth and got it installed. But how can I use it now? I could add a sound font but if I click on finish, the program exits and I find no way to start it now.

Launch the Coolsoft configurator to add a soundfont, then click OK, and be sure Windows Media Player is set to use Coolsoft Virtual Midi Synth.

There's the problem. Where can I find this configurator? And how can I let windows media player use the coolsoft midi synth?

Greetings,
Janagirl!

Just look for it in your start menu. There should be a shortcut there. And if you're on 8 and later, go in to the midi mapper tab, and you'll find the Windows Media Player default device there.

Hmm, very strange, I ony found a folder coolsoft in all programs and there's only the coolsoft website there. no configurator.

OK, run the file located at "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\VirtualMIDISynth\VirtualMIDISynth_configurator.exe". @pika-san, it should work on Vista.
