Hi,
I am thinking of getting an ipod for christmas, but I have a fiew questions:
1. What kind of ipod do I need to be able to use rockbox, or can I have any type?
2. I have rockbox already, but is there a website where I can get newer versions, etc?
Thanks,
Elliott.

Rockbox runs on about any iPod. One big exception here is the new iPod-series (Classic, Touch). As far as I know they're still working on that (although I don't see much progress). I think there are a few more (older) versions that don't work, but because I don't use or like iPods I don't know everything about this.

For both the daily builds and the voicefiles, see http://www.rockbox.org/daily.shtml
For the SVN-builds (which I use myself), see http://build.rockbox.org/

Don't use IPod with rockbox. The playback time is about 35 % lower with rockbox than with original firmware. Try instead IAudio x5 or Sandisk's Sansa E or C series.
