Is the server the forum run on having some kind of problem?

Several times today I've gotten error messages while trying to access the forums. So far I've gotten a couple of "Service not available" messages as well as a message about the server generating some error code and that the admins have been notified and some other seemingly random errors. I've also noticed that at times the forums are really sluggish.

Is anyone else seeing these?

Hello,
They recently moved to CloudFlare and it's definitely causing some sluggishness.

My friend is having trouble getting the form to come up. Any advice on what she should do?

Yep, I knew it. I don't know why people don't listen, but I've said, time and time again, that CloudFlare is not a reliable service.

I don't know what benefit you are getting from cloud player, but it's not worth it if it makes your web site unreliable.

Today I've gotten several 520, and 522 errors, and a number of "web site not available" or "web site is down" messages.

Hi! CloudFlare is not the issue. Our web host seems to be having occasional issues and we'll try to see what is the matter.

Have you considered just moving to Google AppEngine? Then you won't need CloudFlare because Google is already distributed. It might even be free. But this requires work for you, to make sure the code can run on that platform. We'd lose the anti-spam protection, although honestly I'm not sure that was ever really working anyway; indeed it simply appears to have caused some of our legitimate visitors to get CAPTCHA challenges.

Just myself, as usual.
