DOS

programs can run on a Windows machine, Prior to Windows XP, the Windows

platform ran on top of the DOS. XP does not, but you can still run DOS based

programs on the embedded DOS virtual machine. It basically is a DOS

emulator.

If you want to run a MAC program you will need a MAC emulator.

As I have never used one, I cannot for certain vouch for the success of the

application.

Okay.

This is off topic, but Bavisoft, when will Chillingham II be released? This

is not complaining or bugging, I was wondering when it'll be out. Thanks

Mike,

We appreciate your desire to know and we wish we could give you an

exact date. But, alas, even we do not know for sure. We have scheduled

benchmark dates for certain aspects to be completed, but based on testing,

error analysis,  etc... we  have to add new benchmarks to the process which

ultimately extend the production time. Rest assured, progress is being made

and this forum will be one of first places an announcement is made. Our

website will be the first. Thanks for asking.

Hi

I am a new subscriber to the Forum. I have a problem with the dectalk demo.

I don't get it to make that tones or talk as funny as it advertises.

You can run dos programs under XP but they don't run as smoothly.  Try

dosbox (http://dosbox.sourecforge.net) only screenreaders don't read the

command line (I think it uses SDL) so you have to start it with the desired

program from the command line or run dialogue like c:\dosbox\dosbox

c:\snipehunt-sh.exe

Hey,
No one answered my question. Whether it was here or in another topic,

I asked what that "Vocalwriter" thing was, it was said in a topic. Does

someone know?
