Hello!

I wanted to try STW today, however, my Norton Antivirus declares the program to be infected with a trojan. I uploaded the .exe file to virustotal.com to make sure it is safe to run, but virustotal.com also the the program to be a security risk.
If I open the games website http://www.samtupy.com/games/stw/ Norton blocks it and tells me that it contains 9 viruses. :-)

Does someone know whether its safe to run STW or is it possible that the web site is in deed infected?

The game does not contain any viruses. So just let the game pass through your antivirus and enjoy one of the greatest online games ever.

Yes, it's clean. It don't have any signs of rabies, flue or anything bad. LOL!

hey can anyone tell me how to get sharks in the game? or maybe an audio demonstration of how to catch sharks? thanks.

@joshknnd1982, sharks are hard to kill because you can't move as quickly as you can on ground. I recommend you get a weapon with which you can kill them in one hit, like a shotgun or grenade. When you see a shark, paddle twards it until it's straight in front or straight to one of the sides. Then turn so it's straight in front and quickly kill it. Killing it with a short range weapon is not recommended because sharks get very fast when they're mad, and you can't paddle backwards. Good luck!

where can you find grenades at?

@joshknnd1982, the grenades can be found in the city, just a bith south from the mainland map. Good luck exploring. As a hint, often you can get to most maps by just following a river. Also, if you post here that you made a shelter, most likely it'll be gone when you return. We are all very mean here.

@SLJ, I'm glad that you created another STW channel. However, I would like to remind everyone that there is a official STW server made by Sam himself. samtupy.com, 10333 for both ports, username Guest. There are some other STW channels around as well, and of course you can use any of them. Just let the others know, else you'll be alone!

Oh, thanks for letting me know. I didn't know Sam already have created a Teamtalk server or channel for the game. Is this information found on his website or on the Blackscreen gaming website? If it is, then I'm sorry that I've missed it. I won't try to take over something which others have made, and I'm not trying to get people to use mine instead of others. It don't fill up the server, so it's just there if people wanna use it.

I'm having fun exploring the map. I am in a thin grassy forest by a river north of the mainland. My friend jason known as kb3icc on stw gave me some compasses and I made more. I could get around ok without a compass, but having one and knowing how to make compasses really helps out a lot.

Also in a future stw update, I would like walking in the rivers to be more challenging, as in when you go to fill your pots be careful watch out for alligators and crockodiles that you can kill and then eat--you can with your hunting weapons. Also ability to hunt birds such as turkeys and wild chickens. And ability to hunt, kill, and maybe eat big rats and rodents in the sewers of the irradiated city.

@slj, yes i know. I use that site blackscreengaming.com to learn how to craft items and do other things, sometimes I just experiment also.
