Hello everyone!

Does anyone know of an active accessible IRC cliente, which operates with Jaws and NVDA as well? I was thinking about it since it is good for playing RPG via internet, as long as there is a disse rolling script or bot in an RPG-dedicated server. That could help a lot when you cannot play it by voice but want to play with friends on the internet. And even by voice, well, so everyone can check the disse results, the best place is still a typed chat like IRC or anywhere scripts may run to simulate the roll.

There is a good game but I forget the channel on the server. As for a good client I recemend MegaIRC that client is very much accessible and it is pordable so it could be put on a flash stick.

I'm not saying you won't find what you're looking for but I think most online RPG play happens through Skype or IM systems using the honour system, where you use whatever physical dice or software dice roller you prefer and they trust you to relate the results truthfully since doing otherwise would spoil the fun for everyone yourself included.

I found a server called irc.esper.net with a relatively good disse roller in its gameserv, but it seems empty these days...

There was this BDSM RPG I played on a server the game was called the dungeon. It was more of a adult themed game.

Actually we were looking for a type of RPG engine where the games could be narrated and there was a good disse roller embedded, and of course, you could control who entered or left the RPG room, like with kick/ban options, etc. That is where I thought IRC could help...

Either IM or Skype should be able to provide a group chat which would allow you to control who is involved, however it wouldn't be possible for people to just drop in for example so you'd need to arrange the session in advance and find the players in advance as well. An embedded dice roller while nice isn't all that essential, if you're playing with people you don't trust to tell you what they rolled honestly then you probably need to find a better group.
