Heh, OK getting back into this I've made a few little things, little amusements with it, I want to read that manual and get more in depth, including inputting phonemes and stuff. There is a lot of stuff that can be done with elocuter even changing voices only in there you use the ` as your tag instead of that odd character, its ` right beside the 1 key. I will link a little archive when i get more done, I did do a little race car sounding thing, hehe.

So, it seems the link to the manual posted by Family Mario is broken, that will limit what we can do with the synth and its gonna be nearly impossible to track down sad

Guys, the manual was moved to a different folder on Jake's site. Now it's under the old software synths section. Same with the Eloquence speak Window. Now the manual and everything is under a 7z file format. Direct link is at http://www.grossgang.com/tts/old_softwa … oquence.7z

Er -- how the heck did you make Eloquence speak Chinese, Japanese and Korean despite the languages not being in the settings? I mean, I know that Chinese, at least, is made by altering the Finish language voice, but how did you do it? Do you just set the reflections or is there an addon or something that make Eloquence able to speak chinese? Speaking of which, is there even an addon for NVDA or JAWS for this purpose?
EDIT: btw, why are the edit boxes in the program unlabeled? Or at least, if you tab once from the voice options tab thing it tells you something like "name edit volume edit..." and so on. But if you tab again into the edit boxes, it just says edit. How do we fix this?

After downloading the archive, I was not able to find the manual inside. I have made several little skits though.

The supposed manuals are the .exe files in one of the .7z files in the download... However, it seems that the download only has one language - US English. Furthermore, those aren't really manuals are they? When I installed them it only shows the .txt files for the sample voices and all, not a command guide or anything.
I also wish to get answers for my post (post 30), as I would love it if its possible to ask Eloquence to read Chinese. It isn't as robotic as eSpeak at least...

I did not make those samples. Jake (or datajake) found them on the Eloquent Technologies site on the Internet Archive, I believe. The only way to make Eloquence speak those languages is to use either Voxyn or TTSynth, both for Linux, each of which include those languages as different license purchases along with Japanese, Korean, US and UK English, and all the other most commonly used languages. Another way to make it speak Chinese is to use Zhengdu Screen Reader, which includes a copy of IBM ViaVoice TTS for Chinese.

I don't know how to add languages to the nvda eloquence addon.
The way i added chinese, japanese, and korean to the speak window was by copying the syn and dll files and editing the eci.ini.
When I copied the syn, dll, and ini files to the synth drivers\eloquence folder I got an error saying that nvda couldn't load the eloquence synthesizer

2015-07-12 00:36:24

Can't you edit eci.ini in the nvda addon, too?

I did, but I still got an error.
I looked at the eloquence python coad and I think I found out how to add languages but there is a number for each language and I don't know the numbers for chinese, japanese, and korean.

2015-07-12 03:39:20

It would be great if those languages could be integraded into eloquence NVDA

2015-07-12 19:38:35

where can i download the eloquence speak window for chinese and japanese? I will buy the sapi5 eloquence next month when I have the $70. too bad the original speech player voices adam benjamin caleb and david can't be integrated into espeak then made sapi5. then we would have a great sounding free synthesizer. also the mbrola espeak nvda addon the voices sound like the head size was lowered a whole lot.

Sorry, but the Japanese voice doesn't read the Japanese letters. Why did you add it then? Also, Japanese, Korean and Chinese all read the symbols in English.
