You might have noticed that we've been reporting on a game called Audio Defence, from the developers of the Papa Sangre series of games, Somethin Else. Well, we've got some epic news for you, the wait is over!
Audio Defence has now hit the iOS app store and works on iPods, iPhones and iPads, and is priced at $4.99 (£2.99 in the UK).
Not only has the game now been released, it recently got an update (this is why we were holding off on reporting the news, as the initial release was very unstable at points). However, I think Doctor Bastard's zombies are going to be very satiated and have at least six tiny brains to eat, because lots of bugs have been squished and the game is now, very much, stable.
So, get yourself into that app store search field, and then prepare yourself for a fast paced splatter fest, the line up of which includes the lowest resolution zombies that ever existed, because, these zombies have no graphics, but they do pack in a lot of sounds!
Soon enough, you'll be turning and tapping to shoot. It's easy... but picture this.
You've been playing for a while. You're working through the ranks. You've managed to get yourself a hunting rifle and a sawn-off shotgun, both maxed out with upgrades. You go into endless mode and select them as your loadout. You're on a roll, but just when you think you're getting the hang of it... your character is surrounded, heart beating with two of the hungry undead at close range. You get one in your sights and are about to smack it over the head with your frying pan (yes, you read that correctly, we're not making this up!)... but too late. Roar, the other one's reached you! You're brain food. You're asked if you want to revive but you decide to call it a day and click the game over button. Your score is displayed and you celebrate because you got more coins and diamonds. You go to the armoury hoping to grab that next weapon you've wanted for a while, only to find you are thousands, or even worse, a hundred coins short! Time to go back to the arena!
Also, we have a tidbit for you! Once you've chosen your control method and the intro sequence starts playing, try using that method to turn. It's fun, and a little eery!
Oh, and if you want to speak with fellow zombie battlers, feel free to discuss your thoughts in this here forum topic!
Happy zombie hunting!
