hi guys.

Well i've been looking for this for ages! but in the rea cockos forum is nothing aplicable (in rea Access accessibility means).

In cakewalk sonar its pretty simple. Just créate (or add) 2 tracks, one being a kick drum for example and then an audio loop or something. You basically incert the compressor in the kick drum then you assign it to compress the second track and voila.

Now in reaper, did anyone knows some way to do it?

i tried assignning reseives and sends but i'm not sure how. So any help will be much apresiated.

After years, i finally changed my signature! But i don't know what to say :D

There is a cheap way to do this, yes.
Search for the Plugin called BigKixDippa. This will emulate a side chain to several different rhythms, which you can set in it's parameters which are opened by pressing shift P on a track.
Here is a very short demo I threw together to show you how it sounds when used to extremes.
