hi,
I used fine reader to convert one of my inaccessible scanned pdf textbooks into .docx format
however the text has tens of errors per page
I don't want to keep trying to understand garbled text
I would rather focus on the content of the text itself
is there a way to improove accuracy with fine reader
or another way to make scanned pdfs accessible

There should be an option like save as in adobe reader file menu.

I post sounds I record to freesound. Click here to visit my freesound page
I usually post game recordings to anyaudio. Click here to visit my anyaudio page

I believe there used to be an option to save as text but this depends on the PDF settings. There were also at one point tools such as PDF2TXT I think it was called which would convert a PDF to text file regardless of security settings, I don't know if Adobe found a way to block this however.
