Out of the dark and into the army! down the dusty path to  a very deadly world where there's lots of enemies to fight and places to explore!
Anyone who loved A dark room for Ios, get ready to explore the story that tells you all about that game's barren world, The  ensign, the newest project from  Amirali Rijan.
It's definitelly recommended you play A dark room first, sinse though this is a prequell it does reveal much of the mystery of that earlier adventure, however once you have,  The Ensign should be a major challenge, I would however very much recommend both games (and not  just because they've got my name on).

Find out more in This topic and pick it up for one dollar or 69 shiny british penies or similar amounts of cash in the Ap store on the Iphone. And be prepared for doom! the Ensign is rather tougher than your previous journey and definitely one for careful explorers.

well there is only one problem and its a huge problem that I am seeing with developers time after time hear lately.   this game like dark room and several others, will not work with older versions of OS releases.  I would have to have IOS 7 or later witch requires me to purchase another 300 dollar ipod witch I don't plan on doing until they release an ipod touch 6th gin for u won't ever catch me with an ifone.   Another thing, that I find is the sec reason to this, is that developers seem to only feel that people and apple devices, play games when infact, people not only play games on apple, but also on android.   I myself included.     that affects me grately.   u would think developers would make stuff or games for android.  especially seeing how, apple takes like 30 percent of what developers make or sale.      either way, until I get a new ipod, I will not be playing this title just yet.   I could get ipod touch 5th gin but, i'll wait.

Hi.

I completely agree with the second poster.
We need more games on Android.
As for the newer operating system thing, I couldn't agree with you more.
iOS and the devices it runs on are quickly becoming obsolete and replaced with new ones that make you pay more and more money.
Oh well, that is for another topic.

Well developing for android is as I understand a much more tricky  thing than with ios, due to the need to support multiple devices and configurations and such, I have also heard that developers have problems getting  talkback to proeperly support html pages in programs, which is very  dire.
whatever else Apple have done Vo is a very good screen reader when it works.

Actually the Ensign is awsome sinse it's the sequel to A Dark room, a  very  acclaimed game from a developer selling to sighted players, which then became playable due to the developer adapting it to work with vo, so I'd recommend everyone give it a try to support  that effort, apart from the fact the game itself is highly addictive.

The Ios thing does sound bad, though I don't know what generation of devices have stopped supporting Ios 7, sinse my Iphone  5 is nearly two years old and still working  fine.

I believe it could be dun if able or wanted to be dun.  no developer knows of screen readers.   that being said, they don't think of voice over any different from them thinkin of talkback for android.   I feel and believe if they choose to charge, make it for more then one platform.   especially seeing that android technically speaking has the tools to make games run faster and smootherly then apple does.   and truth be told when looking at it, apples ifone, is technically a scaled down android with a lot less features.   I want to play this game but again confess, that it may be a while.   especially seeing how, I believe scripting has nothing to do with it as much as I feel and believe that people think that all blind or visually impaired people just go and cheat themselves by getting an ifone.   my belief is a hipe thing.

"cheat themsleves by getting an Iphone?" I  personally bought an Iphone because there were lots of games on it to play pure and simple, nothing to do with cheating. This is because   being standardized with voiceover, it's very easy  for developers (like Amir), to support vo where  as talkback is a harder proposition  due to the multiple devices, the fact that it needs installing and perhaps some other inherent problems with supporting the system, indeed I have heard that talkback won't support reading of html documents  in programs, which is pretty bad and would cause major problems for anyone trying to make  their game accessible with the screen reader.

I am not saying Apple are wonderful or that I like everything the Iphone does, but the plane fact is there is much more accessible for  Ios devices than  android ones and  there are fairly stable reasons for that.

If google get their act together with access,  include better support for html etc, publicze this fact to developers, maybe developers will support talkback on Android, but that  case at the moment.

I can  appreciate people who want to explore technology might want to investigate android in addition to Ios, but for people who just want a working tablet device to play games, and use aps on  it's not  surprising more people are going for Ios.

I also have no idea what you mean "if a developer isgoing to charge they should support multiple  platforms"   that's like saying "well playstation games should be free because I can't also play them on my Xbox"

Well, in terms of being cheated,   it goes in a business sense were the average would not understand.   and yes in terms of what I stated on developers, it still stands.   games have been and still are made on both platforms. in a visual sense of an xbox  and playstation etc.   in that sense, there are or were very few titles that were only for 1 platform.  or the other.   this I feel stands the same hear from apple verses android.   But, that is a different thing completely.   as I state and believe, I feel and believe that games can be made to be accessible using talkback.   look at games such as star trater and now age of impire.   and hopefully cyber nights though I don't know completely on the third yet.   I don't know much about html and all of that.   nore is it my place to but clearly those games have been made accessible.   for android.   age of impire is more recent.   but no developer knows about talk back no more then they know about voice over.   it just so happens that apps just become accessible or some games.    key word, some games.   in actuality, they run in to just as much of some issues as android.   A lot more games are made on apple to be accessible for various reasons but as I stated, before, its gona be a while right now before I play this new game.   and we can talk about html and all that crap but it goes beyond that because the self voicing games, like inquisitor etc, could be made for android and that has nothing to do with talk back reading html because hell voiceover doesn't even read that for it is not needed.   we could atleast have self voicing games on android.   how will google know what to get there act together on as u stated, when they have everyone being anti google because they jump on bandwagons of apple products. etc.  I don't completely dismiss apple persay, but I will stand for android and my belief will always be ware if it can be dun for one, it can be dun for the other.   even if we don't have a lot of games screen reader based, we could get self voicing games.
