I don't know if this is keeping people away from this topic, but if you don't want to give your skipe address then you don't have to
although I would really like you to, thanks

Sarah did an excellent job while making a Skipe 2.0 tutorial. It is on BlindCoolTech.com, and it's valid for Skipe 2.5 and 3.x as well.

Oh, it's supposed to be Skype rather than Skipe.

thanks a lot!

yeah well
I can not find the twell, I can't find the tutorial and I just have a problem with adding contacts
it says enter a contact and I do, but it just plays the test call when I press enter
what should I do?
please answer as soon as you can

Do you have any contacts except the Skype Test Call. If not, I understand. To add a contact, press alt, go to contacts, and add a contact. Write the name of the contact, and ad the contact you want. Write a message to him so he/she knows you have added them. Then, click ok, and it's done!

how does skype work - a sort of review.
written by aaron/tigger
ok hehe there's a little introduction. anyhow, here goes.
adding contacts:
you go to contacts, and add a contact. you can then type in a skype name.
examples:
jukesy39 (mine)
wuver1 (arjan)
and a few more but i don't want to embarice the people or anything.
problem with adding:
the person must be on at (the exact) same time as you add them. this is kind of bad in my oppinion. it' not fair. they should make a thing where requests are stored, in skype 3 i think it does his, with a new thing, known as "the events list".
i don't know much more about skype 3.x.
wht can you do on skype:
both voice and text chat.
speed dial.
send files (but i think msn is much better for this)
have a conference call with upto 10 people.
have a text chat with like, 100 people at once!
export sounds such as your own ringtones and such (i love ths!)
have a skypecast, but it's low quality, with about 100 people or so. publicly joinable conferences.
and lots, lots more!
other things:
you get abusive and raisist uses on skype some times.
i was unfortunate to be there at a time where arjan was being threatened by a raisist user, but he was not offended by the raisism, which is very very brave and well... i'm glad that arjan's ok.
me and some friends have kind of been sort of annoyed by jacktheslipper, a (almost very) abusive user, who sends very rude chat messages and does not talk properly on voice, he acts weerd all the time.......
but all the other users? are cool, fun, great, funny, non-abusive, ultimate, supreme.. perhaps not that, but great friends, great people, great audiogamers, great main stream gamers, game developers, voice acters, and many many many more... there are a few familiar faces to our community. time's up. i mean, i've ran out of space! thnks for reading the information and i hope you find it helpfull!
thanks.

Well, I prefer the "Search for contacts" option to add someone.

2007-04-19 12:48:04

You won't get mine from me. Maybe I can get yours? Oh, and don't be surprised when I'm gone, all in a sudden, forever. tongue

You can add satyriconfan. But my Skype is a bit messed up, so it's difficult to accept or call, and even chat with people. My Skype is slow and sloppy. I'm really irritated about that!

you go to the contact list, press shift +f10 (or the applications key) and then there is send file in that menu. hope this helps.

2007-04-21 10:49:54

I do it in another way, via SendTo.

2007-04-23 16:23:39

Hi.
Now my Skype works again, so I have no problem adding contacts or calling anymore. Whoohoo! To the point, add satyriconfan, if you want. Or else, write you're Skype addresses here so I can add you.

loged in as another user
but thanks all the peopel who gave me their skype addresses

You're welcome! tongue

people like davy,
should post onnly stuff that is going to help that person who made the topic
o thank you davy

Connor

Could be. I've never paid much attention to moderators, but if the TS wants me to be quiet, well alright. I won't continue posting here for too long.

2007-04-29 07:42:13 (edited by arjan 2007-04-29 07:43:58)

what's your problem with it cj? i dont understand what you mean. why should davy only help people who started the topic? you're not the only one on earth out there

2007-04-29 18:40:21

To be honest, I fully agree with Arjan most of the time. Further, this is going to be way too offtopic.

2007-04-30 07:51:47 (edited by arjan 2007-04-30 07:52:35)

i don't hate everyone on this forum; i just don't understand what cj means. that's all.
but if you're accusing me of hating  almost everyone, then fine, be that way... i can't change your mind.

2007-05-01 07:23:48

to make things clear, from what his message said, that only davy should help cj because he made the topic. but there's more people who want help and because this is very very related to the starting thread, why create a new topic about everything.

2007-05-07 21:14:51 (edited by CJ 2007-05-07 21:17:56)

yes andy that is exactly what I mean
the reason I was mad at davy kager was because he said your welcome with a tung

Connor

CJ:
Your question had been answered. I fail to see the harm in "You're welcome" with a tongue, lighten up some perhaps?

It didn't do anybody any harm, can we please stop arguing over it? Arguing over this is wasting more time than him putting the tongue in to begin with. Please lets keep perspective here.
