Hi,

I'm currently playing alter aeon (but, its closed atm). What I'm wondering is, does anyone know of a mud similar to this, not much ascii, has directions like AA, but just a little ore challenge and a bit of objective? I like AA, don't get me wrong. But there's no real object of the game. (Btw, e-mail me at
[email protected]
Or add me to msn, because I'll probably need help. I use monkey term as my mud client, btw.

thanks for everything-
Tw

they are multi user dungeons.
well i usually play godwars2, i know it's not similar to aa, but it's very cool. when you get the hang of it at least. it's very tricky to start with.

Speaking of mudds, does anyone know of an accessible pokemon/harry potter mud?

I love the racing game idea- but, I'd rather have sonic the hedgehog <grin>

Its a side-scrolling game where you have to jump over things and such as you move.

Not sure how much it is, though...probably around 20-30 dollars u.s.

To answer your question, www.gatewaymud.org has help files with lots of directions in it. The thing I like about that game is that I'm at the newbie stand, and I can type help <guild> and information will come up about the guild, along with directions, and after a while i just remember them, which is cool.

Also, if you're up for a real big mud with expleration, www.materiamagica.com

superliam is easily found in the archive here at audiogames.net. most if not all audioGames are there.

There are so many mudds around here; too many to choose from. I'm currently trying out dark legacy (thanks to cx2), but will take a look at those other ones, rin.

thanks

and why, might I ask?

No downloading of games
no paying
text-based, virtually any screen reader can use them
fun
addictive
lotts around, everything from fighting to social mudds to rollplaying muds to...anything!

I guess mudds aren't for everyone- but, with the downloading of a mud client (very small download), sometimes scripts are required, and your all set for any mud that crosses your path.

I use monkey term, which you can get from:

www.aarontech.randylaptop.com

Under the games section, link intitled, "I recommend monkeyterm"
Or, there's also G-MUD, which is from the same website.

Aaron T. Speers is a good friend of mine, mud-wise. You can usually find him on alter aeon, which is currently down atm.

exactly. besides, you've not even tried muds (or, have i missed something?)
aaron was a friend of mine too but since i don't play aa anymore we kind of lost contact. i downloaded monkeyterm from www.randylaptop.com but it doesn't seem to have the client on it any more.

Hi,

The guy, shawn randel, from randy laptop.com, gave Aaron part of his site- monkeyterm is there. I guess he didn't want to waiste time ith it; besides, Aarons scripts are better, too.
