Hi.
I have seem this a lot of times, where a person quotes a lot of messages and replies between each message. I have just done that in a reply, but couldn't find an easy way to do that. I had to edit my post for each message, and paste the quote and the message in my edited message. Each time I click the quote link, I can't quote an other message while typing. Is there any easier way to do that?
I hope my question makes sense. I know this could have been explained better. smile

Best regards SLJ.

copying what you want the quote to be,and using
quoteing is a good thing,so it is
seems like the best option to me. that example above would produce something like

username wrote:

quoteing is a good thing,so it is

The username thing could consist of anything at all, I.E

Yeah, the hard part is really getting the source text.  My solution is to open the reply window separately, so I can still see the thread I'm quoting from, although it's also true that I often can't be bothered.  Here's one place where email definitely rules. smile

Just myself, as usual.

Hi.
Thank you for your replies. I thought there was an easier way to do this.

I know some forums support this by having a topic review on the reply page, with trimmed-down versions of the posts and a quote button for each one.
I usually just copy/paste and use the tags in the quick reply box, then use preview to make sure it turned out right.

As the above shows, you can tag pretty much any text you like, so just copy what text you want to quote from who you want to quote and write in the tags, i.e left bracket quote equals name of whoever your quoting right bracket then the text your quoting left bracket slash quote right bracket. Oh and yes, this means you pretty much can misquote whoever you like, one reason why I tend personally to only use quotes on rare occasions to make a point or tell silly stories :d.
