hi everyone

i don't count the case with me i am 18 years old ... it doesn't matter i am at this age ...

but enough rambling. i can remember that i started a topic a long time ago wherin i layed down a quest for finding a cool accessible online pokemon browser rpg.

that time i received a game called:

http://www.tpmrpg.net

the pokemon moon rpg.

that was a very cool game, but the only sad thing about this was i already knew the game.

but never mind.
i have discovered, with "lots" of googling another accessible pokemon game.
i am playing since today but what i already discovered:

- you can battle against npc (non playing characters)
- you can battle against all the gyms known in the pokemonworld from tv.
- our old starter pokemon like, squirtle, cyndaquil, treecko and piplup.
- level limit is lvl 100, wich is more fine so you can determine your pokemons strength more effectiviely. in my oppinion.
- battle in the battletent
-battle in the battletower.
- i am not quite sure if this already works at it's full cappacity, the revieuw sais they 're working but it could that that revieuw is old and it does work. but the pvp battles.
you haven't if you don't want to fight other players.
and many more i haven't already discovered.

do you also want to play? go to:

my username is iemand1994

"squirtle, turn back!"

ooh sorry ... still in the pokemontheme lol.

Hi,
i tryed it but i don't really like it, my reason, there's no story line.
i no some people like that but i don't.
also its not that accesible. well its ok for accesibilaty but could be lodes better.

I'm gone for real :)

i try it my name is atlan. where can i catch pokemon?

2012-07-03 10:58:37 (edited by pelantas 2012-07-03 11:04:30)

hi everyone

@brad

it is a pitty you didn't like the game. but that's your oppinion. indeed there is no storyline i can discover but with jaws 12 (at the npc page) i can read who i select to battle. but brad wich jaws version are you using?

@ atlan

when you scroll down the screen, near the bottom you'll find different locations like forest and power plant. you need poke balls to catch the pokemon. the map looks a bit clunkey, but when you press ctrl + end and scroll up a bit you can find the arrows. it are pictures, but in my case with jaws 12 i can read them. i don't know how it is at your pc?

i haven't tried the catching system yet, maybe worht trying it ...

p.s the old pokemoncrater game didn't also had a storyline. but sadly this game is taken offline i don't know why. but i am not sure if this game was accessible because i played it when i was sighted.

nah i won't be playing that game again but thanks for the new game.

I'm gone for real :)

hello there
this is slightly a better game then the others I've discovered,but again what's most disappointing is the moves a pokemon can have. I mean, I just whent into the change move option,and put ice beam and such for my squertal,it even works,so any pokemon can have any moves.that's sad indeed,only if the moves were limited to what origenal pokemons had in the game,this would be the best ever.as for accessibility, I don't know about other screenreaders,but it works smoothly with jaws.
I will give it a go now and again,but I don't think I'll be staying around. unless the move system changes,which I don't think will.

Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these, ‘It might have been.

hi

yes the moves are indeed very dissapointing. my squirtle does have the possibility to thunderbolt! that's an electricity move! but there is one thing we players of the game can say:

"i've a pokemon what can use any move. your can't ha-haha"

but that doesn't take the fact away it is very dissapointing indeed.

i found myself playing more tpmrpg than pokemoncloud. because tpmrpg is more unique.

at first i was very exited about my finding but now i've played it a bit i see that tpmrpg is better than the pokemoncloud.

@brad

of nvda i don't know very much. i've tried it of course, but i found that with nvda does have lesser possibilities than jaws or hal. that's why i jumped back to jaws.

i won't break the system down of nvda. ooh my goodness no. i asume nvda does have good points either. and if you're familiar with it and you're feeling fine with it ... why not?

Well, I like pokemon but this rpg should have been more like the show. I mean, my Chickreeta can't even do any grass type moves. It's very desapointing but it can use bubble wich is wierd. Now, I was thinking what if someone made a audio game based of pokemon. It would have all the regions, all the legendary pokemon, you could make your oown trainer, battle other trainers online as long as you have an internet connecsion, catch pokemon, battle gym leaders, be in contests, and best of all the game would use voice comands. If, let's say you had a Piplup battling a Tertwig you would talk into a microphone and tell Piplup what move to use. Then Piplup would use that move. It would be better than the stupid games that they make for sighted users! I'd like to make a game like that. Tell me what you think.

hi

that idea sounds great. maybe aprone, tward, cae_jones and other people who are willing to help can bundle their powers together to launch an audio-based online pokemon game. but the only problem with the voice-commands is that if you've a cold your voice sounds different, so there could be a problem with commanding your pokemon. but maybe it is an idea that you can save your voice as an profile and can make new voices. like "mike normal" and "mike cold"
but what i discovered is that nintendo closes down the pokemon games who haven't got permission from them. so please developers ... keep in mind that you'll need permission before making the game.

sadly enough i can't help a lot, because in the near future i got not many time. du to revalidation.

but i'll help with ideas and beta testing.

Wellm the voice thing makes sense. I wish I could help but I don't know bgt so, this game isn't happening any time soon. Although I would be usefull, I can do meny voices for the pokemon. I wish I record and send you the voice files of me acting like the pokemon. I hate the newest shows that have come out. YOu know black and white. Well, bye for now.

hi

@articuno

i am still learning bgt. so i also can't program the game. as i mansioned in my last post in this topic that maybe aprone, cae_jones or tward could make it and that we, the volentiers can help them with testing, ideas and acting.

I, despite my advanced age, am a huge fan of the pokemon series games. I remember getting the original blue version as a kid and falling in love with the game. I've had a few ideas about how to make similar style game accessible and, now that i'm able to program again, may have to look into throwing together a proof of concept. I'll need to talk to Aprone and get him to help me on some of the more ambitious ideas I have but I think it should be fairly simple to get working. I'll keep you updated.

2012-08-08 22:18:55

I'm 21, and I still enjoy them.  It's a great series, and while I think that the show needs to be ended, the games are still awesome to play.

hi

i am 18 and i also do like the pokemon games very much. the only sad thing is, i can't play them as much as i did when i was sighted. but anyways i am glad that hatred is willing to help us.

Hatred, you the man. I'm 24, and still love pokemon. There will always be a place for it anywhere for me.

2012-08-10 18:28:41

the problem is that with all the pokemon that there are the idea of having a voice for every pokemon instead of a cry like the games had when they came out sounds like a lot of memory to me but it could work i suppose

2012-08-11 02:19:07

Aprone and I are, as of this moment, discussing possible ways of designing a Pokemon style game. Currently, we have 2 main options.

Option 1 is a basic RPG style. Quests and linear story progression. You simply play through the story and capture Pokemon as you play, trying to eventually catch em all. This is how the original Pokemon games are designed and it works very well for a single player game.

Option 2 is more of an open world style game. Instead of having a set story and game progression, players would take the role of a Pokemon trainer, exploring and catching new Pokemon. In this style, the Pokemon are a new discovery and very little is known about them. As the player explores, if they catch the first of a kind of Pokemon, they get the option to name it. No set story, just pure exploration and combat.

Both styles would have multiplayer combat and trading and both could be incredibly fun. As of now, we're still not sure we'll be working on the game as we both have a lot to do right now. However, we're definitely considering it and want to know what kind of game you guys would be more interested in. Any input, or ideas, will be considered and appreciated.

2012-08-11 02:52:35

I like both lol. But i have always wanted the RPg asspect the game offer as well as exploration and being able to catch many different pokemon. Good times!

2012-08-11 06:30:13

does anyone know how i can advance through the battle area in pokemon moon because i keep fighting some beginner trainer name bob all the time and when i beat him i fight him again so how do i get passed him the fights are too easy and i have a level 40 pokemon

2012-08-11 14:47:47

hi

@bigdog

just press the continue buttton after the battle. this will let you continue toward the other trainers. it could be that the button is labeled progress or something what have to do with continue.

@hatred and aprone

i do like the rpg style of game. i still play the ruby version but can't fly anywhere without getting to the wrong place lol.

maybe a bit early to say or maybe wrong to say in here either. i love you both.

i am so exited that you both and maybe others are willing to make a pokemon style game for the blind and visually impaired community.

you two rock

i don't know other words for my happyness. but that also could be that my english speaking leaves me alone, yes i've studied english but not so extreme. maybe i should pick it up again ...

tongue

but the rpg style would be great.

and should it opcure that you both need any help. i'll do my best to serve you both.

thanks

i do but the battle with bob reappears and i start over could it be that the buttons are mislabeled

2012-08-12 11:01:18

hi everyone

@bigdog

i also fought a battle in the battlearena and when i scrolled with jaws toward the continue (or something what points in that direction of course) and pressed that with enter i continue to stronger opponents. it is ver ry strange that you ontinueley face bob, but i don't know how to fix that. on my laptop everything goes alright so i don't understand why it wouldn't work on your pc. maybe other members know more about this, i never heared before of this.

well of course after i posted this message it worked so i can't explain why it didn't before because i hit the same button.  Anyways is the story line related to the gem leaders or is it something else and one downer
spoiler ahead
when you catch a legendary pokemon you don't fight them you just obtain them

2012-08-13 12:01:02

hi

@bigdog

the trainers in the battle arena aren't related to gyms or so. alltough not that i think. you battle trainers to gain some experience, i've fought against many of them, i am fighting pokemons between lvl 100 and 130. but i discovered that my pokemon gains more levels when i fight other trainers (players)

but glad it works for you now.

i wonder when hatred pops up again.

i have noticed that your pokemon take way less damage than they inflict for some reason and you have to battle a pokemon at least 20 or 30 levels above you before you faint generally.
