Hi,
So I installed iOS 5 tonight. Everything seemed to be working fine. I went through the whole setup process, everyting was restored to my iPhone, etc etc. Then I try to update some some aps: and all of a sudden, the Apple ID, which I have been using for years now, needs varification? This does not make sense, but what really makes this a problem is the fact that the ID itself is associated with an eMail address that no longer exists, and I can not change it in iTunes either because, all of a sudden, I have to varify it there too. Is there any way to resolve this without losing everything?

Best Regards,
Hayden

I think its probably unlikely because the email address i assume is probably dead. You could just go all out and contact apple about it.

what happpens if you log in from Apples website? have you found any solution?

Best regards SLJ.
Feel free to contact me privately if you have something in mind. If you do so, then please send me a mail instead of using the private message on the forum, since I don't check those very often.

Hi,
TO answer, no, I've been lethargic regarding the iOS issue. I'll be trying to log in though, we'll see how that goes.

Best Regards,
Hayden

Hi,

I was able to use my Apple ID just fine. OK, to be fair I don't know why but I had to change my password, it just randomly stopped accepting my old one, but this, as far as I can remember, didn't require any E-Mail confirmation or anything. Heck, I'm running the GM Release anyway, since it's the same as the official release, so I've been having it for a while longer than anyone upgrading normally. tongue
