Hi! I think there was a program called GTC Clock, but the website is down. Does anybody know if it's still available anywhere?

I've not heard of a gtc clock, but I believe bsc sell a talking clock program, and x site interactive have links available to another called steve's talking clock.

Personally though, I just use my computer display to check the time, and for actual timing of things, ---- such as food in the oven, i use the dark timer program from 7-128 software, which is completely and utterly free, ----- thanks again to John for putting that one together.

Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

likewise I use jaws/what ever I use as my screen reader to check the time and if I need a timer I either push in the sequence in the control pad application or if I need exact timing with seconds and such I'll tap it into my pac mate.

ah, probably why I haven't heard of it. Was it commercial or free? and was it any good?

It was good in my opinion. It was very easy to use. I think it wasn't comercial, but i'm not sure.

Sabrina,

Dark Timer is still up for free on our web site.
If you do use it, tell me how it works for you and anything that could make it better.

if we're on topic of emproving dark timer,
1. let people use jfw instead of freeTTs,
2. let people change the time expired sound and add some sort of time repeat function, and
3. put the time remaining into a readonly edit field so users with a braille display can track on the fly.
thanks,
peter.

If anyone still wants this, I can upload it. I've still got it on a backup I made on my external 1 tb drive a couple of years ago. Its a cool app, although Steve's Talking Clock has more features. GTC Clock is a good app, considering that its a freeware app. If you just want an app that tells you every half an hour what the time is, then GTC Clock is for you. If you want a clock with customisable voices, more customisable alarms and some more features, then Steve's Talking Clock has a trial that you can try out.
I wonder how many times I used the word app in that post?
Lol.

I would like it if you could upload it somewhere.
