Hi

all.

Okay, the thing is, I've seen a lot of posts regarding "Oh, we

should make this game accessible!" But, you know what the sighted people

think? They're like, well, we think blind people are so dam like babies

it's not even funny. I mean, we have at least six people on this forum who

are two-years-old. Seriously, that's what you model. Us as blind people are

role models for the sighted. If we don't act like babies like most of the

asses on this forum maybe we'd get somewhere with bloody real games instead

of these baby companies forming such as game developer companies who aren't

even serious like, lets say, QAG (Stupid retarditly quallity audio games,

etc. I mean, look. Big Y is serious about his horse racing game. He didn't

make a website yet, he isn't gonna just throw sounds together with sound

forge to make an audio trailer. You know what he'll do? He'll create the

game, create an audio trailer he'll create it until it's playable

somewhat, record an audio trailer from! the game, and, then, finally he'll

make a website. This is what I'm asooming because he doesn't role model a

baby.

I don't know. This is why I don't play audio games anymore. It's

a waste of time. Total waste. Okay. You beat the game in an hour? Sweet! I

beat the game! Not like some of those fighting games like MK takes you days

to get through chars, etc etc.

Guys, just don't role model a goddam baby

(2-year-old and you'll be fine! Also, get a game going before making a

bloody company!

Anyone agree on this here? I'm sure the people who

don't role model babies you know who you are, are probably smart enough to

understand. Those who do, well, you're just useless fuckwads. I'm sorry,

but you are. I've had enough and only come here for laughs.

2005-09-11 01:30:22

I

don't know that I'd call Adora Entertainment a baby company. Ten Pin Alley

and Monkey Business were well worth the money I spent and what I played of

Alien Outback had me hooked very quickly...'course I probably won't be

able to register my copy now Ai-vi Nguyen's gone and possibly screwed the

company what with sacking Josh De Lioncourt or whatever she did. Josh

practically made the company from what I've heard. However I do feel as

some people do that there are a good many sighted games that ought to be

made accessible, but I also strongly believe that not just anyone should

attempt it. I'd love to see an accessible Metroid style game, but again it

would have to be a really good developer who actually knew what he was

doing. Personally I wouldn't be too upset if L-works ever gave it a shot

(just congecture here nothing more). Come to think of it an Eternal Darkness

style audio game would be pretty neat. I'm going to at least look into

computer programming and audio game development when I go back to school in

the near future and, as I told Mr. Quality Audio Games (I almost died

laughing when I read the name and then checked out the site), you kinda want

to wait till you've actually got games made before you form the company let

alone put up a company web site.

But wait, what's that? A transport! Saved am I! Hark, over here! Hey nonny non, please help!

Orin

I'm gonna report the post. That's enough already. We'll gonna make the

game you'll see. YOu'll see. You'll see. Stop it right now. Stop making

fun of Quag or you will be banned from ever playing our games when they are

released. I'm serious. See my other topic.

Oh,

like you actually have power, dumbass. Look, Orin is absolutely correct. The

only game developer I still have a strong sense of respect for is Munawar,

because he's actually serious about making a game. I've playd cloning

malace 2, (and don't even start asking for it, cause its never getting

anywhere else), and its amazing. Sure, its a buggy beta, but I can see the

potential of what Munawar is trying to accomplish. Well anyway, aside from

CM2, I really have no interest in audiogames anymore. Although when I go to

living skills in 2 weeks, I'll be learning programming, and I'm not making

a website until I have a game ready for the public.
Oh, and Mike, just

shut the fuck up. People would have more respect for you if you weren't

such an annoying little fucktard. Respect is earned, not handed out.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program of insessent

whining.

Shut

up, Mikey! How do you expect to ban anyone from playing your nonexistent

games, when someone can just give them to him, or he can just download them

from your Boring Audio Games filth that plagues the internet.  You don't

even have a game developed, and I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't

even started coding.  Shut the hell up, and give up your inappropriate ideas

and start doing something like listening to porn videos on some of those

websites you probably visit on a regular basis.  Your games are stupid and

will never be developed! You have no hope of succeeding! And if you do get

the games, I'll get them even if you ban me from your damn site, and I'll

laugh at you and be sure to tell you so.  If you want to talk personal

here's my contact information assuming you know how to use msn or skype or

any email clients.

Exactly, how could you ban me from a stupid 23KB website? Heh, you're

gonna call up freewebs and tell them I'm hacking in the hopes that I'm

banned from all freewebs websites? Doubt that'll happen. Also, I I don't

think anyone really cares about this post. You should just take that

3-year-old design of a site of yours down and cry to your mom that you got

insaulted. So yeah. Mike, you need to be able to take cridisems to be a

goddammed developer! So I just don't know, good bloody luck with not taking

insaults as you can't with making games.

2005-09-11 06:54:45

Yep.

When I get a website, I'm going for paid hosting, because lets face it

guys, there are NO! Good! Free! Webhosts! None!

Take care, it's a desert out there.

Thumbs up

2005-09-11 07:02:58

Yeah,

that's what Mike doesn't understand. So yep he'll find that he can't

even upload a 1 MB game to freewebs Hahahaha!

2005-09-11 08:16:35

Okay.

As a relatively avid gamer and an RPG maniac, I'd like to see more

complexity. But you guys have to remember that the technology inherent to

accessible gaming isn't the easiest thing to learn. I, for one, would like

to see something like the Last Crusade, but freakin huge, and way way more

complex. Played that game and beat it in forty minutes flat, though it's a

hell of a good step in the right direction.
With Adora shelved ATM, I

really hope not everyone is going to follow suit. I'm running out of good

games to play now! AHHH!

Just found Aura though, and liked it sort of. I

have a lot of demos but no money to get the full version of

stuff.

Oh...and if you guys are interested, a

This is a totally accessible RPG, built for sighted

gamers but totally accessible with a screenreader.

alright. ya say there's no good free hosts? try port5.com. my friend

managed to upload 3 irc scripts to his websight. but then i think he deleted

it. but, if i get a websight on prot5 i will not do that. im planning to

download auto it and make some games, all free. im not gonna say about them

in development when they arn't, im gonna start coding and say about them,

and as the game progresses im gonna say more. unlike mike, i will estimate

release dates when the project is rather close to completion.

have to say is be patient, and shut up. Appreciate that we're making games

for you all. Shut up!

Myke,
By your most recent post I gather that you are stating that just

because we're making games for blind individuals, they should appreciate

the "favor" and not criticize? Jesus, if I thought that way in school that

at least my instructor accepts me into the class and that I should

appreciate it and not correct them or suggest better ways in which they can

accomodate me, I'd be down the drain buddy.

Hi,

Yeah, agreed orin. The site sucks. I know, because I've

visited it before. You know, if I were mike, I'd at least ask someone for a

good cheap webhosting service like the one munawar's using, like 9 gb to

start with, and about $9.95 a month? Correct me if I'm wrong

munawar.

And to end this post, sterlock was right. There! Are! No! Good!

Free! Web! hots!

Mike

I've always understood the term hypocrit to mean one who tells others not

to do something while continuing to do it themselves. You tell everyone else

to stop swearing and yet you continue to do so. That, unless I'm much

mistaken, makes you a hypocrit.

But wait, what's that? A transport! Saved am I! Hark, over here! Hey nonny non, please help!

to an asylum because y're gonna be suicidal. Cant make your low quality

games there, can you? Heh Heh Heh Heh Heh Heh!

god, people!
Let him quack!
Either he's full of hot air or he's serious.

Either way, giving this sort of attention can't be good for anyone.

Besides, it wastes time.

Oh...and something they really need? A

fully-functional audio interface for Final Fantasy X for the PS2. If they

can make Terraformers, they can make that.

Oh, and if anyone knows how I

can go about authorizing a version of Terraformers I'd be interested,

greatly.

I think

the posts here are a bit sharp, but I agree that QAG is a stupid name and

that announcements of companies and games should wait until you have

something definite to show.

I plan on developing a game if I can. I'm

already a competent programmer, I just need to learn the syntax for DX and

Sapi. I won't make announcements until I am damn near finished and need

late beta testers, or am releasing. I will wait until the brink of release.

The only exception is if I make mini programs to learn DX and play around

with it I will gladly submit them as code samples to the BSC games

development resource centre, partly because I'll be using C++ and they only

have VB samples at present.

Please tone down the F's, and be a little

more respectful to each other.

And if Mike wants to ban me from his games

too, if he can, it won't make a difference because so far I'm not

interested in them. Seriously pal, use a few headings in your pages to help

navigation. Most screen readers can jump to headings, or provide a skip

navigation link.
