Hello,
How can I disable the callender in thunderbird? I don't have anything to do with it so I want it gone.

Hi,
Go to tools>add-ons and navigate with tab until you find something which says lightening (scheduling and calendaring functions). Press application, and you will se disable. Click enter on that and restart thunderbird. It will be gone.

Also, I recommend going to the view menu and setting the "show today pane" option to "none"
For some really weird reason even though I disabled the Lightning addon myself I still had this annoying tab with "today" on it showing up until I turned it off.
