Dekyo-NEC2608, yes, I'm familiar with that line, it appears several times in the DLS, I think, though I thought it was SoundForge 4.51.

I wonder why the month and day change every time that I found a new line with the same structure.

I love sound generator ICs and LSIs. Hopefully some day I'll become one! The most powerful one!

Probably because the samples were edited over several months. This seems to be metadata from SoundForge, though it's surprising that that was preserved.

Maybe a Little off topic, but anyway.

Do anyone know how to remove an instrument from a midi file in QWS?

Hello everyone,
I got CRIMSON's DLS TOOLS for curiosity, to know if the Windows CE sound bank can be opened. But sadly, DLS TOOLS does not open it. Perhaps because I've the demo version of the software?
As i mentioned before, the full version can't be found in any place.

Do any editors, other than Direct Music Producer, even support the Mobile DLS specification? I think part of the problem as that many editors can't read Mobile DLS, and also that it's almost impossible to find the codec that encoded the samples anywhere. I know that the file that houses the codec is msacmce.dll, but I don't know much else about it.

Maybe, newest versions of Awave Studio? But they're inaccessible at all. DLS TOOLS is usable at least for navigating in menus and such things.

If it could read them, I think it would probably just be able to read the 28 samples that Direct Music Producer could extract. OpenMPT can read them as well.

Where do you get that info about msacmce.dll? I've never heard of that.

Msacmce.dll is a file that's part of CE that contains the codec that decodes the samples in the DLS. I found this in a rather hacky way,by replacing the DLL with something else and seeing if it would still work.
