Well, thanks to the better Aira, aka be my eyes, I was able to download madden through my origin client and it's now downloading at my home laptop while I am in the office, should be done in the evening, darn internet isn't really that great.

So guys tried to do a video tonight, to show you all what it sounds like. ANd to explain some concepts. My ISP decided to change the IP adress of my xbox. Of course this ment that my settings allowing twitch to behave properly are now broken. I will need to reset them again, and SInce At and t does not allow me to set up a reserved IP without buying one, I will have to do this every time.
Will hope to have a video out to you all either tomorrow, or the next day. Amber will be helping me with one of them, explaining and showing just how hard things are without site, and also giving ideas on how we do pasing routs. I still plan on franchise mode, so I ask that you do not give up hope.

Thanks a ton for the awesome videos.
I'm really excited for the spoken main menu. I hope there might come more of this maybe in an update. I never really got used to Madden 18. Since it's only the main menu which is spoken in Madden 19, I don't feel this is enough yet to make it a more accessible experience for me. The spoken main menu is indeed a huge step forward in the right direction, but I think I'll wait and see what happens in the future, maybe in an update.

I don't know exactly how to put this, but after having watched your first video, I must confess I don't see what kind of accessibility we must expect.
Except for the main menu, it seems like any other pseudo-accessible video game I've seen, mainly based on guessings, randomness and, if possible, sighted help. Besides the fact that this needs a sighted person who is terribly patient and devoted to the cause, this also needs far more patience and implication from us than it would normally be needed to play a game.
I'm affraid the poor quality of my English doesn't allow me to put this as I want to, but the question, meaning no offense, is : what's the difference between that kind of accessibility and what we've seen from people who consider the old concept of die and retry as the best gameplay they'll ever had.
I'm as frustrated as anyone here about the limits we must deal with, the small number of playable games, but from what I think I've understood here, I'm not ready to put myself into a long experimental process of gameplay simulation.
Do the creators plane to build a really accessible instance in the game itself, or is this just meant to be accessible enough to allow us to be less guided in our gameplay?

Again I really don't mean any offense, I'm just wondering if I have to hope for something doable, or if this is just another dead end some people will appreciate by default.

Hey Simon, the are two sides to it. Firstly the level of information that is communicated through the commentary, which describes the plays as they happen etc.

Secondly haptic cues, which are obviously hard to gauge from a video. For example where the kick meter is on the screen you're able to percieves the kick meter going up and down as it is also communicated through how much your controller is vibrating.

The missing piece of the puzzle is text to speech for menus, for that there's an in depth menu guide available on the EA accessibility website.

Without the text to speech there is still work involved. But it is considerably more accessible than the kind of trial and error approach that you're referring to.

To you, does it mean that we could make it against sighted player online? Or is our gameplay still to approximative for that purpose?

@Arkandias: Yes, we can play head to head against sighted people. Here's the thing:

Defense. When on offence, your sighted player can easily see which player you're aiming for and will have a better advantage at blocking passes. Likewise, when you're on defense yourself, you won't get that information, thus letting a pass slip through complete. The ground game online is pretty much the same, especially for those people using the sticks to control the player. They can easily evade the AI and use ball carrier moves to outdo you.
That's just my two sense regarding online play though. In short, it's not worth it against the majority of players because 100 percent of gameplay isn't accessible yet, nor is the commentary accurate all the time as to be reliant on it in a multiplayer situation.

Honestly as much as people want spoken menus for everything, I'd rather be able to play competitively. It opens up an entirely new experience, IMO.

Hello to all,
Let me address a couple of things here and I will try and go in some sort of order, lol
1.  Only the main menu speaks. Yes that is true, but back when I played video games religiously, none of the menus spoke, and no one really took the time to show me what to do.
2. EA is improving their accessibility in this game, and I will be happy to find out about there other games. Oran, said it best, summarizing all the changes made.
3. Playing against others linline can be done, I have done it before, long before the game was remotly accessible, and would have won, except that the player kep exiting  before the game was finished, because they knew they were going to lose.
4. The more people who play the better the feedback will be and the more likely EA will add more faster.
5. Yes, I want to paly against my fellow sighted players on the same level, but making the menus fully accessible will not only help out with that, but will also allow us to do things like, Enjoy the full franchise mode, Play ultimate team, take full part in long shot, create and upload your own rosters, and so much more that I can't think of. Yes, there is still alot to be done, but I am supportive of EA, and any feedback that we can leave, can only help.

I'm not complaining, I really do appreciate the main menu being made accessible, I'd just rather the play menu/ the vibrations be worked on. It could also be that I suck at the game, which I will not discount. I'm just saying that game changes mean more to me personally than menu ones do at the moment. At least with the menus, I can OCR. I'm playing MUT, I can make it through most menus with little problem, but it all is thrown away when I throw like 3 incomplete passes and have no idea what's what in the play menus. Again, I'm not discounting all that EA has done, or complaining about the changes that have been made, just stating what I believe is important.

I totally agree with you, I would like to know what play s I am picking. Amber helps me out with that, and once I learn a few plays that work, I stick with them. Also, because you stream with a PS 4, I do not have access to using OCR.
Yes, I would love for the play menus to be accessible. Even with the guide, the actual plays do not have a description, or any meaning behind them. The next video I will do  wll show you how I learn my play book. I may do a video in practice where we look at the play book in  depth, learning the plays.

I do have a solution for the play book situation. Let me first say that this solution will take time, and it will take effort, so if I decide to do this, please bare with me.  Would a copy of each play as it is shown in the play type menu help for each team, or just the teams you play with.

I guess the question there is do the plays change depending on the mode? Like when I play Madden ultamet, with their challenges, is that playbook the same as franchise even with their different players? I'm still the Jets, but the players are obviously different in my MUT lineup compared to the franchise or exhibition.

That's the hard part,  In Franchies and in exhabition, the playbooks don't change, it's harder for mut, as I have not played it.

Ultamet isn't as important in some ways, so I think the playbook would still work. I could still get the ranking points for online, ultamet I play just for fun. If I ever do play MUT online, it won't be for a while. Hopefully by then EA can respond to some feedback.

I don't believe Amber or my self will come up with a play book for all 32 teams. That's a  huge undertaking, and something  that I would not be able to do in any reasonable amount of time. Let me finish the videos, and We'll  possibly start making  a playbook.

So on offense/defense I have a question, when throwing a pass, is there a metor or something that says when tohold a, x, or y, or is it something else. Also on defense, is there something that tells you when to press a/y when to intercept? How's that work exactly? If it's a metor of some sort, I'm not sure why a sound couldn't be used when you're supposed to press the button or something, but if it's something else then that's a different story.

It's all about timing on both offense and defense.  If you time it right on defense, you can feel your controler start to vibrate. The harder the vibration, the more likely you are to intercept it.

On offense, you have to time it and almost like count it in your head, again, this presents a two fold problem. 1. You don't know what rout you are timing,  and two, you don't now what rout you are selecting.   It's crazy.

Hey Death,

Question regarding MUT. When you have a requirement that says you need to put someone on your team so that your total team rating is a certain number, how do you go about doing that? I OCR the menu too, but lineups are a challenge. I can get the team rating but I have trouble with the players screen and putting them where they're supposed to go.

Honestly, I just used lineup adjustment with y/triangle. It's not exactly an amazing solution, but it works if there's a clear upgrade.

To the people who do trades in franchise, how do you do them without going through every player incredibly slowly with OCR? My god it takes me forever.

That is something that needs to be fixed by EA. Because I do not stream to my computer, and because  the Xbox client is different than the PS 4 client, I can't use OCR to scan it, so amber actually helps me do the trading.
