i was playing a really old game, startreck final conflict and i think i went in to a text mode, how do i get the menus to work, i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing happened

Trek 2000 has the text mode, but not final conflict.

ok, well let me explane, i open my game and select my difficulty fine, then, when i start, i try presing the arow keys after the status message has been read and nothing happens, i can still use the acceleration keys, like l to scan and that
