accessibility as a part of the game, I like it. However I'm not entirely sure how much you can do with this info, nor what the objective of the game is.

They aren't as far along as that yet, they're still in early prototype stages

That is what I gathered from the video and the general lack of any findable information when trying to Google for the game itself.

I like the idea, back before I lost my vision and had an Apple II, one of the games I played frequently was called Gato, it was a simulation of a world war II Gato class submarine, the game itself was a series of randomly generated missions that you had to accomplish. It was a lot of fun and very challenging, especially after you torpedoed a ship and its friends started looking for you with depth charges.

While I completed many missions, I don't think that ever made it through a complete game.

They mentioned one type of blind accessible mission, being commissioned by scientists to locate noisy sea creatures and make audio recordings of their behaviour.

There's this description on the game's Twitter bio -

"Legacies is a submarine narrative game where players follow Max, a rogue marine biologist who wishes to learn about the marine ecosystem and his mother's fate"

this is simply amazing man......this is what I am talking about, have us in mind when making your game.....you don't even have to do anything fancy to make your mainstream game playable for someone with a visual impairment, a sound q is all we need for sense of direction, and enimies.....finally finally finally someone gets it. im picking up this game for sure, just to support

can i get a peace double harmony burger? no chaos

Hi.
@ianhamilton_: Sounds like the same game which you created an other topic about a few days ago. Or am I wrong?

Best regards SLJ.

@7 it's the same topic deleted and reposted, as the previous one had been derailed

I wish it hadn't been deleted, instead just start a new topic, the moderators needed to see what was going on. But what is done is done and probably for the best. Now, onward.

Has there been any indication what platform this will be on? Submarines are a natural for being made into audio games because they do pretty much everything with sound. I'd thought of making a submarine based game but my current projects have all of my development attention at the moment. Plus there is always GMA Games Lone Wolf.

Ah okay. Sorry for the confusion. smile
I would also like to know what platforms this game will be made for. Sounds like for consoles, since he is using a controller.

Best regards SLJ.

I heard the controller too, but since there are tons of game controllers for the PC, the use of a controller doesn't automatically mean console. That said, you are probably right about it being for a console.
