Homepage only displays the standard message if you're not logged in. Otherwise, it will show the latest news straight away.

Email should end up in your inbox instead of spam folder of for instance Gmail. Same counts for password recovery requests.
[For nerds: Email SPF records now match the host so Google recognises emails as originating from this forum host].

Dear everyone, I've disabled the option to subscribe to posts since it caused a problem in our host (it probably triggers error as a result of many bounced messages). We'll look into this!

The homepage should now display the latest news again, even though it's last month's news.

Made it possible to receive emails when someone sends you a private message. This setting is on by default but can be disabled by navigating to profile -> PM Email. Hopefully this eliminates the "hey, I sent you a PM!" topic problem.

Minor fix to the way the forum purges inactive pending accounts. In short, new users are no longer required to click the emailed link within 72 hours. The limit has been increased to one week as a temporary measure toward making the process more amiable for our newcomers.

Post migration DB changes to allow staff members with proper permissions to create and update games that weren't previously editable.

A step back perhaps, but the topic subscription emails had to be disabled due to the sheer number of messages that were being sent making our domain look less trustworthy to the major providers. Not to mention a hefty bill at the end of the month.

You will still get notifications when someone sends you a private message, if that option is enabled under your profile.
