Hi all,
Since most footstep sounds come mixed with several footsteps since all it is is recordings of people walking and whatnot, where do developers either
A, find steps for games that actually is a single footstep to work properly in a game,

and if not, B, how would I use Reeper, Goldwave, etc to edit one? I know I can cut and paste, but is that the best option?

Moderation!

this is about games, and indeed sounds like it's about game development so it is in very much the wrong part of the forum and is being moved.

Please remember, "offtopic" means "off the subject of games!"

With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

Yeah, I'd just cut/copy from the raw recording and paste into a new file.
This can get tricky, depending on the quality of the recording.
