I can
only think of one thing for Chillingham II that might be worth
investigating: vocal skip.
A lot of the time when you're traversing long
distances through which you've already traversed, you don't necessarily
want to hear every option and every description spoken out. Perhaps make
things in a list key-sensitive (say you have a leaf, book, rattle and
candle...c would select the candle and r the rattle, that sorta thing?) ...
Shortcuts, in other words.
Don't get me wrong in the least here. I don't
own either game but I've heard the demos available, and I love the sound of
Chillingham, in particular (so much so, in fact, that I believe I want to
obtain it for myself). I'm not trying to whine. I'm only saying that I, as
a gamer who likes RPG-esque adventure games but with some speed, would very
much appreciate increased functionality, if the menu system stays in
effect.
Best of luck.
